Help Me Internets!

I need your advice peoples. In fact, I’ve been thinking that the solution to my inability to make decisions is to start having my three readers make those decisions for me. I’ll have polls such as, “What should I make for dinner? Chicken Piccata or Hot Dogs?” Or, “Which career path should I take, CPA or CFO?” Or, “What should I snack on this afternoon, pretzels or cheezits?” “What is the best dildo out on the market these days?” (That was for you stoogepie!) It’ll be good times.

So my question for you internettians today is what are your feelings on rain boots? I think they’re cute and when I see girls on the streets wearing them I always think they look cute, but the problem I run into is where would I wear them. To work? There never seems to be much of a need for rain boots in my accounting office. A coworker suggested I wear them on the weekends with my jeans tucked in with a fitted jacket, but I am afraid this would stumpify me (I’m petite…so imagine short chubby midget legs). Should I wear it with funky thigh high socks and a miniskirt or does that scream out I think and dress like I am only thirteen years old? How about with opaque tights and a black business skirt or would that just be odd?

I am floundering here and I need your guidance! In case you needed a visual here are the rain boots that I am considering blessing with a good home (I would only pick one pair of course):

They're very cute! Where I am from, people usually wear them in the rain, then take them off to put on more office appropriate shoes for work.

I love rain boots and now I'm coveting the polka dot ones. Most of the people I see wearing them take them off when they get to work. I, however, would probably keep them on all day just because.

I would avoid the stripes because I don't need to emphasize how huge my calves are. People would be circling my legs looking for the end of the rainbow and the pot o' gold if I wore those things.

Oooh! The Hello Kitty vibrator would go great with any of these boots.

I like the boots with the whales on them! And I especially like them with funky thigh high socks, a miniskirt, and delicious short chubby midget legs. Yum!

I would wear them all day if I were you. I mean, what shoes could you possibly own than would live up to those awesome whales?

totally the polka dots!!!! I might be biased because I have ones that look very similar, and heart them sooooo very much. :) I do love the whales, but I have to be loyal to the polka dots.

Thespottedottoman - I'm so lazy I'd probably wear the boots all day instead of switching shoes...but I think my office might be ok with that.

Dingo - Good point on the stripes front. I have fat calves too - I can rarely find knee high boots that I can zip up all the way.

Stoogepie - I should start buying vibrators to match my outfits huh? I'll get on that.

Heather - Polka dots are classic, you can never go wrong with them.

Jamie - The polka dots seem to be winning! The stripes have definitely dropped out of the race.

Take it from a 47 year old (ya, I know, I'm freakin' old) - wear the boots while you can! If you don't wear them now, someday you'll be 47wishing you could pull off cute polka dot rainboots and you'll kick yourself. Oh, by the way, I like the polka dot ones. Buy them, wear them, guaranteed you'll be absolutely adorable.

I'm not too much of a fan of the galoshes. I don't think they look right on anyone over the age of six. I just think it's a trend better left to little kids.

I love my polka dot rain boots. I wear them to work when I bus in the rain. And I've worn them in the slush after the snow and while camping. Quite useful!!!

Ooh go for the rain boots! I have yellow ones (like the Morton Salt Girl) and I love them! AND I wore them to my job interview for my current job--didn't bring extra shoes either, just the boots. They loved it!

Lynne - First, 47 is not old. Second, good point. I only have a few years of mini skirt wearing ahead of me so I better wear the shit out of it and do crazy combo's while I can!

Angela - That's what scares me about it. I have to somehow make it age appropriate...

Tits McGee - Every time I type that I giggle. HAHA. so much fun. Genius, we could be galoshes twins if I got the polka dot ones.

Mizfit - I love love love skull and crossbones, but I didn't like the colors of the ones they had. I'm so picky. Thanx for the meal advice.

Stealthnerd - That's amazing. I guess it helps that you're in the fashion industry. I'm scared to death of one day having to work in an office where they look down on galoshes. That's a good test to see if you'd like the place.

Another vote for the polka dots. I would, however, avoid wearing them with socks that scream "I'm pretending to be 13," but that's me. I never know how to adequately transition into rain boots, which is why I haven't bought any, so if you figure it out, let me know! I might just pick up a pair of those adorable polka dotted ones myself...

i guess i'm a little late and you may have made up your mind already but i'm Pro Wellies. i have a pair and i look forward to rainy days because of them! although, i do only wear them on rainy days... i'll wear them running errands or whatever but if i'm going to work i'll change shoes when i get to my desk. they're very addictive though... this last rain i was walking around a parking lot looking for puddles to splash in!
