I swear I'm not trying to kill kitty cat

As some of you know I am not what you would call a “fan” of Chuckles’ cat, Poopsicle. In fact, Chuckles has threatened to have an autopsy done when Poopsicle kicks the bucket because he alreadys suspects me of plotting her death. But I always try to be nice to her and if not nice at least tolerant, but, as of this morning, Poopsicle is officially scared of me.

At first I felt bad about this, but now I think it’s not such a bad thing; maybe now she’ll stop drooling on me or rubbing her face against my glasses (supposedly to itch a hard to reach spot, but I think she’s just trying to annoy the hell out of me…and succeeding).

I think she first started to be fearful of me when I was making a pesto sauce last night and she was in the utility room, which is right next to the kitchen, and I started the blender every time she tried to leave the utility room, which would cause her to run and hide every time. I swear I wasn’t doing it on purpose, but she started to become very suspicious of me.

Then this morning when I was in a huge hurry because I was running very late she ran right in front of me and I stepped right on top of her. After hissing at me she spent the rest of the morning hiding behind the washer and dryer. Believe me when I say this is quite unusual because usually she won’t let anything get in the way of her begging for more food.

Anyway, I really hope that when I get home tonight she continues to hide behind the washer instead of running around me and whining while I do yoga, which, in fact, does bring out murderous tendencies that will inevitably be directed towards her.

I like cats... unfortunately cats don't like me... they give off something that makes my nose stuff up and my asthma go wild... Cats are chemical warfare...

I'll make the same recommendation to you that I did to Chris -- drop the furball off in an alleyway in the International District, and he'll be on the next day's menu.

I do love cats, as I love all animals, but owning a cat is not something I would like to do. But I do think that maybe you did mean to turn the blender on when she was trying to leave the utility room. Heh

I think Chuckles needs to have an autopsy performed if you kick the bucket unexpectedly. Poopsicle is hiding behind the washer trying to figure out how to electrocute you with the next cold water rinse cycle.

I don't like cats. I prefer dogs. (This is SUCH a deep comment!)

Nah, really, i just think that a dog wouldn't have been scared of the blender. Because they're awesome. And cat's aren't.

(And the comment suddenly became "deep" again.)

For a fee I can take care of this cat problem you have.

Think about it.

I won't lie, this cracked me up a little bit. First off, that is a great cat name, and don't beat yourself up about stepping on the kitty. They are evil.

I always wonder what cats are thinking. We had one that we had to give to the in-laws for a lot of reasons. When friends would stay over, they would tell us they couldn't sleep because the cat would stare at them in the middle of the night with creepy glowy eyes.

I hate cats. Dogs are so much more fun and most aren't scared of blenders.

Although I don't endorse cat teasing, it is fun once in a while. One of my favorite methods of feline freakout is to calmly walk by the cat and then suddenly and with as much fanfare you can muster, sprint away. The abruptly crouched body, dialated pupils and aerodynamic ear positions indicate that if they were capable of weilding a knife, they would assuredly plunge it into your chest plate.

Cats have always creeped me out a bit. I don't know what it is...but I'm definitely a dog person. Good luck with Poopsicle!

Oh and I tagged you for an award on my site. I love your blog!
