I don't want to grow up

Do you know what I really miss about being twenty two years old? Drinking games. Sure, I miss going out and dancing, but really I could still go out if I really wanted to…I just don’t have any friends anymore who want to join me.

Drinking games on the other hand seem immature once you reach a certain age and being a girl who loves her games this distresses me. I mean is there anything better than games that involve drinking – besides donuts of course (that’s a given).

I love making up silly rules and embarrassing people and anybody who’s ever played with me can tell you how much I enjoy yelling at people when they’re playing incorrectly and then forcing them to down their drink immediately.

So I have decided that I want to celebrate my next birthday (Yes, I am already planning it…this year’s was just such a disappointment) by playing multiple rounds of asshole, kings, red/black, really I could go on and on here. I think this will be an apt way of celebrating the beginning of my upper twenties. I know I said that twenty seven is upper twenties, but I was wrong – I’m still in my mid-twenties. Thank God!

Unfortunately, after the last game of Asshole played with my friends ended with Tits McGee storming out because I kept yelling at her to, “Pay attention for god sake!! It is your TURN. Is your drink empty?! WTF?!”

Soooo…I hope people will be willing to give me a second chance, but I’m not making any promises of good behavior. I guess I’m just hoping people will be willing to overlook my competitive nature and my tendency towards verbal assaults when losing and indulge my love for getting crazy drunk while playing cards. At least I’m giving people nine months to mentally prepare.

Hahahahaha. I remember that. I drove away I think. I'd be willing to play again.

I don't know who you're hanging out with - but drinking games are ALWAYS appropriate. Always.

Besides - I'm 22 and I approve that message! You can't outgrow those kinds of things.

aaaand HI!! good to see you over here again :)

As a person who never really played drinking games, I say this: Play away! You can never be too old. I'm still catching up on all the things I missed out on because I was LAME when I was younger. Let me know what the plan is, and I'll play from Texas.

Oh, and oddly, I've been called "Tits McGee" more than once in my life.

Hahaha... For my 18th birthday I had a typical Latin piñata. Way to go back to my roots right?

Yeah, we had a piñata, and a lovely girly cake and they all had these souvenir bags filled with childish things. I loved it.

I've yet to stop playing them, and this year will be the big 3-0. On that note, I am a God among men when it come to playing Kings. My experience playing Asshole, however, is very limited. Though if I understand correctly, that makes me the perfect patsy for it.

I've managed to turn my whole life into a drinking game.

My friends here in NC never want to play anything other than beer pong and flip cup. What happened to "power hour" and the card game Beer? Or all the great stuff you used to pregame before heading to the bars?

That is exactly why in just three weeks, I'll be partying Penn State style and playing games, as drinking should be done!

I never really played drinking games. Although we would get drunk and then make up silly games. But I don't think that's what you meant.

Love the drinking games! I really, really hate when people don't pay attention during a nice game of asshole. Super annoying!

My boyfriend is still in college so I still get to play drinking games on his friends' birthdays and stuff. The sad thing is, I've gotten so old that usually after a couple of drinks I either pass out or get too sick to continue. My tolerance has been cut to an eighth of its college level, and instead of getting more fun with increased BAC, I just start snoring. Getting old really stinks sometimes.

Sometimes I miss drinking games too. I do not, however, miss the hangovers that accompany them.

Fortunately, unlike exercising, you can never get out of shape for drinking games and it is just like riding a bike. In fact, riding a bike directly after a drinking game, or perhaps as a continuation of a drinking game, is not encouraged, particularly if you live in an area with steep cliffs and/or massive sink holes.
