Cuh-razy

Life has been overwhelming me lately. School and work and doctor’s appointments have completely overtaken my life and last Friday when the alarm went off at 5:30 in the morning I threw what some might call a hissy fit and started screaming that I just couldn’t, COULD NOT, get out of bed.

Although, I eventually was able to get out of bed, I talked to one of my classmates over email later that day and he was nice enough to point out that things are only going to get harder from here on out. I’m two weeks away from finishing my first year, which I am very excited about, but have realized that this also means that all the easy classes are over. I’m taking two classes this summer instead of just one and next quarter I’m taking a similar load to what I have now.

So what I am getting at is that I felt in order to save my sanity something had to give. School is by far my top priority – I’m spending enough money on it. The thing to give would have to be work. I talked to my boss and am going down to a thirty-two hour work week. I was dreading him saying no because I really didn’t know what my next move would be, but, thankfully, he said yes…even though he sounded unsure about the whole thing.

Basically, though, it will work as long as I can get all my work done. The other rule that I have to follow for this plan to work is to get up at a reasonable time on Fridays. No sleeping in til noon, no more hissy fits about how I just CAN NOT get out of bed. (Although, I really meant it last Friday.)

Anycrapola, I think this might also mean a break from blogging. Who knows what’ll happen though right?!

On a compeletely different note– who do you think would win in a fight between Chuck Norris and a Liger?

Chuck Norris would totally win, because he is Chuck Norris no matter what. But if it were Chuck Norris versus Mr. T, that would be a different story.

Good luck with changing your schedule. I hope it all works out better.

I'm going with Chuck, not because I'm a Huckabee fan or anything - that would be weird. I just think that Chuck is pretty badass.

I'm going to have to say that blogging can't be skipped. I'm sorry, I just can't let you. Maybe just one word entries? I would totally stop in to see your word of the day!

That was quite a different note there at the end, and I have no opinion as I've never seen "Napoleon Dynamite" or anything with Chuck Norris. Ha.

At least with one year of schooling down, you know you're getting things accomplished. Maybe you're tired, maybe you're hard-worked and pressed for time, but you're on a great path, it seems. And hopefully cutting your working hours will help.

All of us in the blogosphere are perfectly okay with your real life coming first anyway. That is as it should be. So we'll just eagerly anticipate hearing some updates, ha.

I'm going to go with the liger. Those things are crafty.

Blogging breaks are necessary sometimes. I hope things calm down for you.

*sigh* well, okay, you HAD to go and pick school as your priority!
Good luck w/ everything, and I hope to see you in my Reader soon. (and good luck talking to the boss)

Generally mythological beasts such as a Liger (which is pretty much my favorite)have no problem dispensing with short, heavily made up, psuedo-action heroes in their 70s.

The Dutchess of kickball - Of course, there is nobody that could beat Mr. T.

Punkybean - Maybe I could do a whole post that way, one word at a time. I'm afraid that would just make people want to kill me though.

Amindinmotown - Thanks! I do have to keep reminding myself that I'm on the right path and in a few years things will be better. I just have to remind myself constantly!

Jane - Indeed, you never know what move a liger could pull. Who knows, they might even carry guns.

April - I hope I can manage it all! Who knows, maybe next quarter will be a piece of cake!

Chris - I think I have to agree with you. Chucko doesn't stand a chance.

Hmmmm.....I'm going for the Liger, simply because I can't stand Chuck Norris' damned commercials where he and Christie Brinkley are trying to sell their endorsed work out crap.

Chuck Norris, hands down. Guy has mad skillz.

Blogging break? Completely unacceptable! Who is responsible for this madness? Don't make me make Chuck Norris come kick your ass.

The Liger would win.

But what considerations are you giving to your laborious drinking schedule? Surely that won't give?!

As for the Chuck/liger question, I believe it to be a moot one, as ligers, unicorns, and wood chippers are the only things on this planet capable of making sweet love with Chuck. For that reason alone they are the only things he would never willingly harm.

Duh.

Chuck Norris.

"There is no theory of evolution, just a list of creatures Chuck Norris allows to live."

Suburbia Steph - I'd forgotten about that. I don't know how though because it somehow always manages to suck me in.

Bayjb - Indeed. I wish I could hire him as my personal trainer.

Dingo - HAHA, you so funny. You don't really know Chuck Norris right? Cause I'm just going to assume you're joking and I don't need to change identities or anything.

Matt - I think a lot of people disagree with you. I hope chuck Norris doesn't kick your ass for saying that.

Jay - Of course not! Drinking is my true number one priority. School is a distant second.

Kristen - So true.

*Mumbles* Well, honey, I hope it's not a PERMANENT break. I'll miss you if you disappear. I really will! :( But well, I do get you. I took a break for a few days last week, and though my Google Reader was at 200+, I really had time to study and not be de-focused.

What are you taking in school?

Megkathleen said...

Andy - I doubt I'll disappear completely. I get bored too easily.

Thomas - Right now I'm taking Finance and Accounting and next quarter I'll be taking economics and accounting. Really Fun stuff.
